Elstead Parish Single Half Lantern - Black

The Parish Half Lantern is the wide, low one in the range, built to sit flat and stay out of the way rather than project forward. It still keeps the six sided lantern shape, just squashed a little flatter and broader.

Cast in black die-cast aluminium, it has a clear glass panel to the front so the bulb is properly visible, with patterned glass around the sides that softens and spreads the light instead of throwing sharp shadows.

How it works

It fixes directly to the wall with no bracket arm, so there's very little depth to worry about when you're measuring up next to a door or under a low soffit. One E27 lamp does the job, and it can be dimmed if you use a dimmable bulb.

Where it works best

Good for spots where headroom or clearance is tight, such as under a porch canopy, beside a garage door, or anywhere a lantern with an arm would stick out too far. Its wider spread also suits marking out a doorway on either side.
