Elstead Parish Single Flush Lantern - Black

Not every wall has room for a lantern that swings out on an arm. The Parish Flush Lantern sits close against the wall or ceiling instead, keeping its traditional hexagonal shape without needing the extra depth.

It is cast in black die-cast aluminium, with a clear glazed panel at the front and softly ribbed glass around the other sides, so the light spreads out rather than glaring straight at you. The hexagonal cap and finial on top keep it looking like a proper period lantern rather than a plain wall box.

How it works

The whole fitting mounts flat, so there is no arm sticking out to catch on anything. It runs on one E27 lamp, and choosing a dimmable bulb means you can dim it from full brightness down to a soft glow.

Where it works best

This is the one to reach for above a porch, under a low eave or over an archway, anywhere a projecting lantern would sit too close to your head or a door. It has that lovely worn in look you get above old stone porches and church entrances.
