A lantern that stands on its own

The Parish Mini pedestal lantern doesn't hang from a bracket or a chain, it stands on its own tapered plinth like a miniature lamp post. That makes it a natural fit for a low wall, a gate pier or the corner of a raised bed, anywhere you want a proper freestanding light rather than something fixed to brickwork.

Black finish, clear glass

The whole fitting, from the octagonal base to the hexagonal lantern head, is finished in a deep matte black with a fine, slightly textured surface. Clear glass panels are set into the die cast aluminium frame, so there's nothing hiding the bulb, the light spills out through all six sides rather than down a single beam.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the lantern head, wired to Class I standards, and the whole fitting carries an IP44 rating so it's built to sit outside through wind and rain. The base is designed to be fixed flat to a firm surface, a wall cap, a pier top or a paved area, rather than driven into open soil, so it needs something solid underneath it before it goes in.

Where It Works Best

Its self supporting base makes it especially useful at gateposts and low garden walls, or in a pair flanking a driveway entrance, anywhere a light needs to sit at a lower level without a wall bracket or a hanging chain in the way. It works just as well marking the corner of a raised bed or the top of a boundary pier.
