The biggest voice in the Louvre family

This is the largest of the Louvre pendants, with six bulbs clustered inside a wide steel cage and enough presence to anchor a big room on its own. Rows of angled glass louvres wrap the sides, so what would otherwise be a plain box becomes something with real texture and movement in the light.

Finish

Steel is finished in painted gunmetal, a brushed tone that shifts between silver and near black depending on how the light falls on it, with the clear glass slats adding sparkle rather than colour.

How it works

Six E27 lamp holders are arranged in the centre of the cage. The chain suspension can be shortened or lengthened at fitting to suit the room, and it dims happily if you fit dimmable bulbs.

Where it works best

With a drop that can run well over three metres, this one comes into its own over a stairwell, a double height dining space or a large open plan kitchen where you need scale as well as light. It is a fitting built to be the focal point rather than sit quietly in the background.
