Where the rest of the Louvre range hangs or projects out from the ceiling, this four light flush fitting sits tight against it, keeping that same layered, glass slatted look overhead in rooms where headroom is tight. Four lamps sit back to back inside a square steel box, visible through the open slats running around all four sides.

Finish and glasswork

Painted gunmetal gives the steel frame a brushed, slightly weathered look, somewhere between silver and charcoal, with the brushstroke visible along every bar. Clear glass louvres run around all four faces, catching and scattering the light from the bulbs rather than shading it, so the whole fitting reads as a lit lattice rather than a solid box.

How it works

Four E27 lamp holders are mounted back to back inside the frame, so from below you get four distinct points of light coming through the glass slats rather than one flat glow. It takes any E27 bulb, and filament styles suit the industrial look particularly well. Fit dimmable bulbs and the fitting will dim, though it will not dim with standard, non dimmable bulbs fitted.

Its flush profile makes it a natural choice for hallways, landings and kitchens with standard ceiling heights, or anywhere a pendant would hang too low. The square shape also suits centring over a kitchen island or a square dining table, and its slatted sides throw light out sideways as well as down, so it copes well as the main light in a kitchen or dining room.

Is this flush fitting dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E27 bulbs. Standard, non dimmable bulbs will not dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
