A coach lantern for the front door
The Hyde Park takes its shape from the coach lamps that once lit London's grander streets before electric light took over: a peaked roof, slim glazing bars set into four glass panes, and a ring finial at the top marking where a carrying handle would once have sat. It reads as a small, honest piece of period design rather than a pastiche of one.
Solid brass, aged finish
The body is solid brass rather than a plated substitute, finished in a warm, antiqued tone that already looks settled rather than raw and shiny against brick or stone. A lacquer coat over the top keeps that aged colour consistent, rather than left to weather and darken further on its own.
How It Works
One E27 LED lamp sits centrally behind the four glazed panes, held on a Class I fitting, so light spreads out in every direction rather than firing in a single beam. Choose a dimmable bulb and the lantern will dim with it, and a warm filament style bulb gets closest to the candlelit look shown in the photos. The bulb itself isn't included.
