The same lantern, a darker finish

This half lantern keeps the flat backed shape that makes it easy to mount close to a wall, but swaps in a deep Dark Bronze finish for a more subdued look than the brass version.

Dark Bronze finish

The bronze tone is muted rather than shiny, closer to old ironwork than polished metal, and it sits quietly against most brick, render or stone. The slatted bars at the top and the glass panels below are both finished in the same tone.

What is inside

Two E14 lamp holders light the lantern from within, so the glow comes through the clear glass sides rather than shining straight out from a single point. Dimmable bulbs will let you dim the fitting too.

Where it suits

It is built for exterior use, so expect it either side of a front door, along a porch, or marking a gateway. The darker finish tends to disappear less into shadow at night than a pale one, which helps if you are using it mainly for security or wayfinding.
