The Holborn flush fitting is built like a miniature glazed box, with clean square lines that suit period porches just as easily as simpler modern doorways. It sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging down, which makes it a practical choice anywhere headroom is tight.

This version is finished in a deep, warm bronze that can read almost like aged brass in natural light. Slim glazing bars run around the top of the fitting, and bevelled glass panels let the two bulbs inside show through clearly on every side.

How it lights up

Two E27 lamp holders sit inside the glass box, positioned so light spreads out through all four sides rather than beaming straight down. Use dimmable bulbs and the fitting will dim in turn, giving you more control over how bright the space feels in the evening.

Where it works best

Porches, terraces and covered entrances all suit this fitting well, since it is designed for an outdoor ceiling. Its square shape also means it will not compete for attention if you are lighting a run of steps or a covered walkway alongside other fittings.
