The fixed version of the Hereford porch lantern
Where the chain version swings gently on its links, this one is fixed on a short rigid stem straight to the ceiling, so it sits still and neat above a doorway rather than moving in the wind.
Black with a windowed glass panel
Cast in die cast aluminium and finished black, with the same crossbar detail across the glass that gives it a look of small window panes rather than one plain cylinder. The glass has that slightly bubbled, seeded texture rather than being perfectly clear.
How it works
Takes a single E27 bulb, sold separately, and is rated Class I so it must be wired to an earthed supply. Pick a dimmable bulb if you want it on a dimmer switch.
Where it works best
Ideal for a porch ceiling, a covered walkway or anywhere you want the lantern held firmly in place rather than hanging free, particularly in a spot that gets a bit of wind.
