A generous lantern with a country curl
This is the larger of the Hereford window lanterns, hung well below a curled wall bracket so the light spills straight down onto the step or path beneath it. The window style panes give it a slightly more cottage look than a plain round lantern.
Black with seeded glass
The frame is die cast aluminium in a solid black finish, with a crossbar dividing each glass panel into four panes. The glass itself is seeded rather than clear, full of tiny bubbles that catch the light once the lamp is on.
How it works
Fitted for a single E27 bulb, sold separately, and wired to Class I standards, meaning it needs an earthed connection. Fit a dimmable bulb and it can be run on a dimmer.
Where it works best
Its size and downward throw suit a larger porch, an entrance with steps to light, or a gateway where you want the light aimed at the ground rather than out into the garden.
