The Helsingor takes the tiered, Danish styled silhouette that runs through the wider range and adds a passive infrared sensor low on the wall plate, so the light comes on by itself the moment someone walks into range. It suits anywhere you want illumination to arrive automatically rather than depending on a switch being found in the dark.

Black finish

This version is made from 304 grade stainless steel with a black powder coated finish over the top, giving the layered canopy and clear glass cylinder a matte, weather resistant surface that copes with being mounted outside in all conditions.

How It Works

Fit a single E27 LED bulb, not included, and the built in PIR sensor switches the light on automatically once it detects movement nearby, then off again after a short delay. Choose a dimmable bulb and it will respond to a dimmer switch in the usual way. The fitting carries a Class I electrical rating, so it must be earthed, and installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

Where It Works Best

Mount it beside a side gate, above a back door, over a garage, or anywhere along a boundary wall where you want light to greet you rather than relying on someone finding a switch. Because the sensor does the work, it suits routes used after dark, such as a path from a driveway to a front door.
