The Grange Park base looks handthrown even though it is a considered ceramic design, egg shaped and glazed in a mottled grey and brown across the top half before giving way to a plain matt beige lower half. Because each piece is individually glazed, no two lamps come out quite the same, so slight variations in the pattern are part of the design rather than a flaw.

Cream shade, nickel fittings

A cream faux silk drum shade sits on top, held by a polished nickel gallery and finial that link it back to the ceramic below. The nickel is the only shiny element in the whole piece, which keeps the overall look calm rather than busy.

How It Works

One E27 LED bulb sits inside the drum shade on a standard holder, giving an even wash of light through the fabric rather than a hard downlight, which suits a lamp meant for ambient light rather than close task reading. Fit a dimmable bulb and it will respond to a dimmer switch, taking the glow from a soft background light to something brighter.

Where It Works Best

At 61cm tall with a 36cm shade, Grange Park has enough presence for a sideboard or console table and works equally well as a bedside lamp on a larger table. The neutral glaze sits comfortably with both warm and cool room palettes, making it an easy fit for a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway.

Will my lamp look exactly like the one in the photos? Close, but not identical. Grange Park's glaze is applied individually to each base, so the exact spread of grey and brown across the top half varies slightly from lamp to lamp.

What bulb does the Grange Park table lamp take? It takes a single E27 LED bulb, which is not included, so you will need to fit one before use.

Is the Grange Park table lamp dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb. A non dimmable bulb will not dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
