The Fulwell table lamp is built around a simple ceramic cylinder, finished in two stages: a bright white gloss across the upper half, giving way to a matte, speckled grey lower down, as though the glaze ran out of shine before it reached the bottom. It is a small detail that gives an otherwise plain shape some quiet character.

Shade and fittings

A drum shade in a warm, oatmeal toned fabric sits on top, wide enough to spread light generously rather than pool it in one spot. Nickel plated fittings at the gallery ring and finial add a cool, understated accent against the ceramic base, most visible up close where the shade meets the metalwork.

How It Works

Fulwell takes a single E27 bulb, wired to Class I standards, and is not supplied with a bulb. Fit a dimmable bulb and the lamp will dim on a compatible circuit; otherwise it runs from a standard switch.

Where It Works Best

At 68cm tall including the shade, Fulwell has enough height to work as a bedside reading lamp, and enough visual weight to hold its own on a console table or sideboard in a living room, dining room, or hallway.

Elstead Lighting

Fulwell is part of the Elstead Lighting collection. The brand takes its name from The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, where its history began, and remains led by the same Lucas family today.
