A pinpoint of gold on a graphic black shape
Etoile's silhouette is unmistakable: a tapered cone shade narrowing to a slim rod, broken partway along its length by a small star charm. In this matte black version, that star becomes the one bright detail on an otherwise dark, sculptural shape, more like a piece of jewellery than a fitting.
Finish
Ceiling rose, rod and shade exterior are all matte black, with none of the sheen of a polished metal. Open the shade up and the inside is painted gold, glowing warmly once the bulb is lit, while the star on the rod is finished in a contrasting gold leaf that catches the light even when the pendant is off.

A single E27 LED bulb sits inside the cone, angled to send light downward rather than out into the room. The flex can be shortened during fitting, which lets this medium size pendant hang anywhere from a compact 65.4cm drop down to a long 156.8cm drop, so it can be set to suit a low island or a taller ceiling.
