The Cleveland Single Small Down Wall Lantern brings the range's coach lamp style to a narrower porch or a more modest front door, hanging just below a scrolled bracket rather than sitting flush against the wall. It carries the same curved silhouette, ribbed glazing bars and finial as the larger Cleveland lanterns, simply built to a smaller scale.

Weathered bronze and seeded glass

Cast in aluminium, the lantern is finished in weathered bronze, a warm, aged tone with visible variation across the surface rather than a flat, uniform black. The glass panels are clear and seeded, with the slightly uneven, bubbled texture typical of hand finished glass, giving the light some texture after dark rather than a plain, even glow.

How It Works

A single E27 bulb sits inside the lantern behind the seeded glass, with light spilling down and out to the sides rather than in one direction, lighting the wall and doorstep beneath it. Because the lantern hangs below the arm rather than mounting flush, it spreads its light a little more generously than a flush fitting of the same size would. Fit a dimmable LED bulb and the lantern can be run on a dimmer circuit; the bulb itself is not included.

Where It Works Best

This smaller Cleveland lantern suits a compact porch, a cottage style front door, or either side of a narrower entrance, anywhere the medium or large lanterns in the range would feel a size too big. The weathered bronze finish sits comfortably against brick, stone or painted render without fighting any of them.

Is the Cleveland Single Small Wall Lantern suitable for outdoor use? Yes. It's IP44 rated and cast in aluminium specifically for exterior walls, porches and entrances.

What bulb does it take? A single E27 bulb, which we'd recommend fitting as an LED for outdoor use. It isn't included, so you'll need to add one before use.

Is this lantern dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't respond to a dimmer switch even on a compatible circuit.
