Hung on a chain from a simple ceiling rose, the Cleveland Single Small Chain Lantern moves slightly in a way no wall mounted fitting can. It is the smallest lantern in the Cleveland family, scaled for a porch or modest overhang rather than a grand entrance, with a turned finial at the base and a matching reeded collar where the chain meets the fitting above.

Weathered Bronze

The body is cast aluminium finished in weathered bronze, a mottled dark bronze with lighter brown tones showing through at the edges and joints. The glass panels are clear seeded glass, bubbled and slightly uneven in the way old hand poured glass was, held between narrow glazing bars that run the height of the shade.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp sits inside the lantern and shines out through the seeded glass on every side, so light spreads around the porch rather than pointing in one direction. The chain can be adjusted from around 45cm up to 141cm at installation, which makes it easy to hang the lantern at the right height whatever the ceiling, and it will dim if a dimmable bulb is fitted.

Suited to a covered porch, an entrance canopy, or any sheltered spot under an overhang where a lantern can move slightly in the wind without taking the worst of the weather head on. Its smaller scale suits a single front door rather than a wide porch needing several points of light.
