Elstead Chapel Single Small Half Lantern - Black

Half the depth, all of the character

Rather than reaching out from the wall on a bracket, the Small Half Lantern sits almost flat against it, its curved back and dished skirt hugging the surface so it projects only a little way out. It's the fitting for a spot where a full lantern would stick out too far, a narrow porch, a slim gatepost, a door frame with not much clearance either side.

Black cast, arched glazing

The die cast frame is finished black, its domed cap and arched panel bars giving it a rounder profile than the square lanterns in the range. Polycarbonate panels stand in for glass here, tougher underfoot traffic or a knock from a passing bag or bike.

How it works

A single E27 bulb runs the fitting, so it's your choice between a warm filament glow or a cooler LED, and it will dim on a compatible dimmer switch if the bulb itself is dimmable.

Where it works best

Its shallow depth makes it the one to reach for on narrow porches, tight passageways or gateposts where anything deeper would catch on coats and bags going past.

Part of the Chapel range

It borrows its black finish and cast detailing from the rest of the Chapel range, so it can sit alongside the deeper wall lantern or the post lights elsewhere on the property without looking like a different family entirely.
