A lantern for the top of a pier

Rather than reaching up on a tall pole, the Pedestal Lantern sits low, a short fluted column and octagonal base lift it just enough to catch the eye without ever looking out of scale on top of a gate pier or garden wall. The lantern head keeps the same peaked roof and single finial you'll find right across the Chapel range.

Black cast, glass clear

Cast in black die cast aluminium with clear glass panels around the lamp chamber, it shows the bulb rather than hiding it, so the light itself becomes part of the fitting's character after dark.

How it works

One E27 bulb lights the whole fitting, giving you the choice between a warm filament glow or a cooler LED, and it will dim on a compatible switch if the bulb you fit is dimmable.

Where it works best

It is designed to sit on a flat surface rather than mount to a wall, which makes it the natural choice for gate piers, low garden walls or the top of a stone plinth either side of a driveway entrance.

The same peaked roof and finial appear on the taller lamp post and the wall lantern in the range, so a pair of these on the gateposts can be matched with a wall lantern at the door without the styles fighting each other.
