A lantern that stands upright on its bracket

Where some Canterbury lanterns hang down from their fixing, this one sits upright, held level by a curved black bracket beneath it with a small decorative finial pointing skyward from the roof. It gives a more formal, symmetrical look on a wall, closer to a traditional gate lamp than a hanging light.

Black finish with paned glass

The tapered box is finished in black and glazed with small panes divided by thin bars, the glass lightly textured so the lamp inside reads as a soft glow rather than a hard point of light.

How it works

It runs on a single E27 LED lamp, dimmable if you fit a dimmable bulb, so check your dimmer switch is compatible before buying one.

Where it works best

Carrying an IP43 rating, it copes well with an exposed outdoor spot, and because it sits upright rather than dropping down, it works particularly well either side of a front door or garage where a level, symmetrical pair of lights suits the look of the house.
