A Lantern Built for the Front Door
The Balmoral takes its shape from an old coach lamp, a tapered roof rising to a domed cap and ball finial above a tall glazed case. Three lamps sit in a row behind the glass, so from the street it reads as a proper period lantern rather than a modern porch fitting, even though everything inside it is new.
Old Bronze finish
This version wears an Old Bronze finish, a deep, almost charcoal tone with warmer brown showing through along the raised seams of the roof and the edges of the frame. The four glass panels are seeded rather than flat clear glass, giving the light a slightly rippled, rain streaked texture even in dry weather. One panel is hinged so the lamps inside stay reachable for changing bulbs.
How It Works
Three E14 lamp holders stand side by side inside the case, ready for candle shaped bulbs. Fit dimmable bulbs and the lantern will dim on a compatible switch, though the bulbs themselves aren't included. It's wired in directly rather than plugged in, so it's switched on from indoors and left running through the evening rather than turned on and off at a socket.

At 61.5cm tall and 27.7cm wide, with 17cm of projection off the wall, Balmoral has enough scale to flank a front door, line a porch, or sit either side of a gate on a garden wall. Its flat backplate mounts straight onto brick or render without extra brackets, and an IP44 rating means it copes well with rain and general outdoor exposure.
