A forged silhouette in matte black
Artisan's scrollwork reads differently once the brass is gone. Stripped back to a flat, non reflective black, the twin scrolls and the twisted knot finial beneath them lose their metallic gleam and become pure outline, a graphic shape on the wall rather than a glint of ornament.
Matte black finish
Every curl, candle holder and drip pan carries the same even matte black coating, so the fitting reads as a single continuous silhouette instead of a set of separate parts. Against pale walls the effect is sharper still, the scrollwork thrown into crisp relief.
How It Works
Two E14 holders sit open on the ends of the scrolled arms, with no shade to soften or diffuse the light, so whatever bulb you fit is fully on show. Choose a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch to bring the light down to a soft glow rather than a straight on or off. As a mains wired fitting, we'd recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
Mount a pair either side of a bed, a fireplace or a large mirror for symmetry, or space several along a dining room or hallway wall for a run of individual pools of light. It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, anywhere with wall space to let the scrollwork read at its full width.

Questions People Ask
Are bulbs included with the Artisan 2 Light Wall Light? No. It takes two E14 bulbs, LED compatible, which aren't supplied, so you can choose the exact colour temperature and brightness you want.
Is this wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and use it with a compatible dimmer switch. A non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
Does the black finish match the brass version of Artisan? It's the same hand formed scroll and twisted knot design, just finished in a flat matte black rather than a metallic tone, so the two read quite differently on the wall.
Do I need an electrician to fit this light? Yes. It's wired directly into the mains rather than plugged in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician carries out the installation.
