Traditional wall light with real character
Two curling arms in warm aged brass reach out from a central rose, each one finished with a plain candle style holder that leaves the bulb entirely on show. Underneath, a twisted knot finial drops down like a small piece of blacksmith's work, the kind of detail that turns a simple wall light into something worth a second look.
Aged brass finish
The metal carries a deliberately warm, slightly weathered brass tone rather than a bright polish, so it settles comfortably against darker walls, wood panelling or more traditional wallpaper without fighting for attention. Every scroll and knot in the twisted finial takes the same finish, so the detailing reads as one continuous piece rather than a fitting with mismatched parts.
How it works
Artisan takes two E14 bulbs, held in exposed candle style holders. Fit candle shaped bulbs to keep the classic look, or dimmable ones if you want to bring the light down low in the evening with a compatible dimmer switch. It's a mains wall light that wires directly into the electrics, so we'd always recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
It's a natural fit either side of a fireplace, flanking a mirror in the hallway, or paired along a dining room wall. Living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways all suit its scale, and because both arms sit close to the backplate it works well in narrower spots where a wider fitting wouldn't.
Elstead Lighting
Elstead's roots go back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, and the business is still led by the Lucas family today. Artisan carries that forge heritage through in its detailing, the hand formed scrolls and the twisted knot finial are the kind of ironwork touches the brand has long built its wrought iron ranges around, reworked here in a warmer aged brass.

What bulbs does the Artisan 2 Light Wall Light take? Two E14 (small screw / candle) bulbs, not included. Candle shaped bulbs keep the exposed holders looking authentic, though any E14 bulb will fit.
Is the Artisan 2 Light Wall Light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E14 bulb and use it with a compatible dimmer switch. A bulb that isn't dimmable won't dim, even on a dimmer circuit.
Do I need an electrician to install this wall light? Yes. Artisan is wired directly into the wall rather than plugged in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician fits it.
