Five arms, one strong shape
This mid sized Amarilli chandelier has five scrolling arms reaching out from a central column of forged leaves, each arm ending in a candle style holder on a glass sconce. Glass drops hang from the arms and the stem, catching the light as they move.
Black metalwork, silver leaves
The scrollwork is black throughout, while the acanthus leaf cluster at the centre and the small crystal ball on the stem are picked out in silver, adding just enough shine to break up the black.
How it works
Five E14 bulbs sit across the arms, and the fitting will dim if you use dimmable bulbs. The chain lets you set the drop anywhere from around 68cm up to 146cm, so it can be hung a little lower in rooms with more height.
Where it works best
A good middle ground piece, big enough to anchor a dining table or a living room, but not so large that it needs a grand hallway or double height space the way the bigger Amarilli chandeliers do.
Elstead's traditional side
Amarilli sits firmly in Elstead's traditional, country house range, built around forged scrolls rather than plainer modern shapes. The company has been designing lighting from Alton, Hampshire since 1971 and is still led by the Lucas family.
