Two arms, one statement leaf

Amarilli's shape is built around a pair of curling steel arms that spring from a central oval backplate, each finishing in a candle style holder set on its own faceted glass sconce. Where a lot of twin arm wall lights leave the centre plain, Amarilli fills it with a raised oak leaf motif and a single crystal effect drop hanging beneath it, with two more drops caught where the scrolls uncurl at the base of each arm.

The arms and oval backplate are finished in black, while the oak leaf at the centre is brushed in a contrasting silver, picking out just enough detail to read clearly against the black steel around it rather than disappearing into it. It's a two tone fitting rather than a plain black one, so it pairs naturally with other black and silver pieces in the room.

How It Works

Each arm carries one E14 candle bulb on its own glass sconce, for two bulbs across the fitting; neither is included, so you'll need to fit your own. Choose dimmable E14 bulbs and Amarilli will work on a dimmer circuit, standard bulbs will simply switch on and off. Being a wall light rather than a pendant, there's no drop or height to set up, it fixes flat to the wall and the arms and leaf motif do the rest of the visual work.

Where It Works Best

A single Amarilli works as an accent beside a chimney breast or in an alcove, but it's really designed to be hung in pairs, either side of a fireplace, flanking a mirror or console, or spaced along a hallway or staircase wall, where the repeated scrollwork and warm candle glow read as a considered scheme rather than a single fitting bolted on.
