A striking peak of black and gold
The Charm pendant hangs like an inverted cone, its wide triangular shade tapering to a sharp point where a polished ring hooks it to the ceiling rod. Look closely at that point and you will spot a small triangular cutout in the metal, a glimpse of gold leaf even before the light is switched on. Beneath the shade sits a single round opal glass globe, centred in the opening, so the glow reads as one soft sphere of light rather than a bare bulb.
Black and Gold Leaf finish
The exterior of the shade is finished in a deep matte black, while the inside is layered in gold leaf that catches and bounces the light back downward and outward. From below, the black rim frames a warm gold interior, and the ring and stem above continue that gold thread up to the ceiling in a warm brass tone. It is a finish that reads equally well against pale walls or a darker, more dramatic backdrop.
How it works
Charm takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 60W. The shade itself measures around 53cm in height, and the fixture can be hung anywhere between 73cm and 180cm from the canopy, so it suits both low hangs over a table and taller rooms. The round canopy at the ceiling measures 15cm across.
Where it works best
Given its scale and single strong point of light, Charm suits spots where one confident fixture can do the work: above a dining table, centred over a kitchen island, or hung low beside a bed in place of a table lamp. Because the light is directional and concentrated, it is worth pairing with other lamps in larger rooms rather than relying on it alone.
About Corbett
Corbett Lighting has spent more than 40 years turning light fixtures into something closer to jewellery, favouring bold, sculptural shapes and what the brand calls its own sophisticated, chic style. Corbett sits within the Hudson Valley Lighting Group, sharing a family tree with Mitzi and Troy Lighting. That story starts in Brooklyn in 1939, when inventor William Littman saw the fluorescent lighting displays at that year's New York World's Fair and was inspired to start designing fixtures of his own. Decades later, his grandson David Littman built on that foundation to establish Hudson Valley Lighting Group in the 1980s.
