A Different Look, and a Different Beam, for the WL95 Bulkhead
The WL95 bulkhead ships with a plain white ring, spreading its light evenly in every direction. Fit this white eyelid instead and half of that beam gets masked off, so the fitting throws its light down rather than up and to the sides. It is a small swap that changes both the appearance of the light and where the glow actually lands.
White ABS, Sized to Match the WL95
This eyelid is moulded from white ABS plastic, finished to sit flush against the white bodied WL95 bulkhead it is designed for. It measures 300mm across and 23mm deep, and weighs a light 0.2kg. If you want a different look, or a stronger contrast against a dark wall, Collingwood also sells the same eyelid shape in black, along with a black grille and a black ring, as separate accessories.
How It Works
The eyelid is a purely mechanical part. There is no wiring involved and no electronics inside it, just a moulded cover that clips over the top half of the bulkhead's lens. Once fitted it blocks direct upward glare and directs the output downward, in the same way a peaked cap shades the eyes. Installation is straightforward field fitting onto an existing WL95 bulkhead, replacing the standard ring supplied with the light. The bulkhead itself is sold separately.
Where It Works Best
Because it only changes the light distribution, this eyelid is fitted wherever a plain, all round bulkhead throws light somewhere it is not wanted, over a neighbouring window, up a stairwell, or across a car park where drivers do not need glare in their eyeline. Collingwood's WL95 eyelid range fits the standard WL95 bulkhead as well as its microwave sensor and emergency versions, so the same accessory works whether the bulkhead behind it is on a timer, a sensor, or an emergency circuit.
