A Ground Light Built to Take a Footstep
The GL200 is a compact domed marker light designed to sit flush in paving, decking or steps, casting light out sideways rather than glaring up into anyone's eyes. This 3 facet version has three separate windows cut into the dome, so the light spreads out in three directions rather than two, giving wider coverage across a path, patio or driveway from a single fitting.
The 3 Facet Version in Brass
This is the brass finish, a warm antique tone sitting over a body built from 316 stainless steel, the marine grade steel Collingwood uses for its outdoor ground lights because it holds up to years outside without corroding. The dome sits flush with the surface once installed, with just the slim ring of facet windows visible at ground level.
How It Works
LEDs behind each of the three facet windows push light out sideways at a 90 degree spread, washing it across the surrounding surface instead of up into the sky or anyone's eyes. It runs at 5.7W, giving out 20 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature with a CRI of 80. Because it connects straight to the mains, there's no separate driver to plan for or fit. It isn't dimmable, so once it's wired in you get a steady level of light every time it's switched on.
Where It Works Best
Being IP65 rated and IK10 impact resistant, it's built to be walked and driven over, which makes it a natural choice for driveways, patios, garden steps and paths where people and vehicles cross over it regularly. The 3 facet spread suits junctions and wider walkways where you want light reaching more than one direction from a single point, rather than a single row running along the edge of a path.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. The brand states it was among the first to bring fully sealed, waterproof for life LED products to the UK electrical wholesale market, an approach reflected in the IP65 build of the GL200. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it among the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
What does the "3 facet" in the name mean?
It refers to the three windows cut into the dome, which spread light out in three directions rather than the two you would get from a standard 2 facet version, giving wider coverage from one fitting.
Can this be driven over?
Yes. It's IK10 impact rated and built to sit flush in paving or a driveway, so it's designed to take both foot and vehicle traffic.
Does it need a separate driver?
No. It connects straight to the mains, so there's no separate driver to specify or install.
Is it dimmable?
No. It runs at a fixed 5.7W output.
What else do I need to install it?
You will need a 70mm cut out and a waterproof connector, such as the JB5 or WC5-9, or a TUBE/68 installation tube. These are sold separately.
