The GL038 is one of Collingwood's direct to mains ground lights, so there's no separate driver to buy or wire in, it just connects straight to your mains circuit. This antique brass version uses a single LED and lens for a clean, modern point of light, running at 2.8W and putting out around 297 to 300 lumens at 2700K and 3000K respectively, for an efficacy of roughly 106 to 107 lumens per watt. The beam angle is 40°.
It's rated IP65 and IK08, with a stainless steel top and aluminium body, and it's built to be walked over once installed, so it suits paths, patios and driveways as well as flower beds and lawn edges. It comes complete with an installation tube and 1 metre of cable, which makes fitting straightforward, and it carries a long rated lifespan of 70,000 hours.
Being coastal rated, it's a sensible choice for properties near the sea as well as inland gardens, and it comes with a 7 year warranty.
