A Toggle Operated Momentary Switch

This module combines a toggle lever with a retractive, spring return action. Flip it and it sends a brief signal to the circuit before springing back to its resting position, rather than staying flipped like a standard toggle switch.

How It Works

Rated at 250V and 10A on a 50 or 60Hz supply, the switch does not hold its position after use. Each press or flip sends a short momentary signal rather than a maintained on or off state, which makes it suited to smart lighting or home automation systems that read a trigger pulse rather than a fixed switch position. As with all mains connected Buster + Punch modules, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Best suited to a circuit controlled by a smart dimmer or automation controller elsewhere, where the toggle only needs to send a momentary command rather than physically hold the circuit open or closed.

Buster + Punch was founded in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had worked at practices including Foster + Partners before spending his evenings building custom motorbikes by hand in a Shoreditch garage, machining every part himself rather than buying something close enough off the shelf.
