A Retractive Push Switch for Dimming and Control

This module looks like a plain button rather than a rotary dimmer knob, and that's exactly what it is. Buster + Punch calls it a "dummy" dimmer module because it holds no dimming electronics of its own. Instead, it's a momentary, push to make switch that sends a signal to a separate compatible dimmer or smart control module elsewhere in the circuit.

How It Works

A short press turns the paired circuit on or off. Hold the button down and it cycles the brightness up, then down, so you release it once you've reached the level you want. It's rated at 230V, 50Hz, with a maximum load of 300W and a maximum current of 6A, and it's designed to pair with Buster + Punch's own retractive dimmer modules or with third party smart control systems that accept a retractive switch input. It is not compatible with standard 2 way or 3 way switching, or with a standard, non retractive circuit. As with all hardwired Buster + Punch electrics, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Useful wherever you want push button control instead of a turning knob: for lighting, blinds or gates wired onto a compatible retractive circuit, or on a multi module plate where you want every position to share the same low profile button rather than mixing knobs and switches.
