This 4G toggle switch brings four independent two-way toggles together on a single black back plate, each one finished with Buster + Punch's diamond-cut cross knurl. It's the largest plate in this collection, built for a wall position where several circuits genuinely need to meet in one place.

The black plate is fixed here. Keep all four toggles in Black for one dark, unbroken block, or lift them with Brass or Steel collars for a run of metal detail across the plate. The same choice applies to all four toggles together.

How It Works

Each of the four toggle modules is wired as 2-way and rated at 10A, and switches its own circuit independently of the others, so a single plate can control four separate lighting circuits, or a mix of lights and other switched loads, from one wall position. As with all hardwired Buster + Punch electrics, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Best suited to a busy junction of circuits, an open plan kitchen, living and dining space where ceiling lights, under cabinet lighting, an extractor and an outdoor light might otherwise need four separate plates dotted around the room. One entrance to a large open space is often where this size earns its place.

Scaling the toggle system up to four gangs on one plate is a genuine step up in complexity from the single or three toggle versions, four separately wired modules assembled onto one frame without interfering with each other. That same problem, building something modular from individually machined parts, is what Massimo Buster Minale was working through years before Buster + Punch existed, machining motorbike parts by hand in a Shoreditch garage rather than buying them in.
