This 45mm module fits USB A and USB C quick charge outlets into a Buster + Punch plate, so you can charge a phone or tablet directly from the wall without a bulky adaptor.

How It Works

Unlike the other data modules in this range, this one is genuinely mains connected. It takes a 100 to 250V supply at 50 or 60Hz and converts it down to a safe charging current of up to 0.5A at the USB outlets. Because it is wired into the mains supply behind the plate, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Handy beside a bed, desk or kitchen counter, anywhere you reach for a phone charger often and would rather not have a plug in adaptor taking up a socket.

Made By Buster + Punch

Buster + Punch was founded in 2013 by Massimo Buster Minale, an architect who had worked at practices including Foster + Partners before spending his evenings building custom motorbikes by hand in a Shoreditch garage, machining his own parts rather than buying them in. Building something as ordinary as a phone charger into a considered, machined system is exactly the kind of detail that approach was built for.
