Three Toggles in a Darker, Smoked Finish

This 3G toggle switch pairs a smoked bronze back plate with Buster + Punch's diamond-cut cross knurl on each of its three toggles. The smoked finish is mottled and uneven rather than a flat colour, and it groups three independent circuits behind one plate instead of spreading them across separate switches.

The smoked bronze plate is fixed. Match all three toggles in Smoked Bronze for one tonal surface, or choose Brass or Steel collars to lift the darker plate with a point of contrasting metal.

How It Works

Each toggle module is wired as 2-way and rated at 10A, and switches its own circuit independently of the other two, so this single plate can control three separate lighting circuits from one wall position. As with all hardwired Buster + Punch electrics, installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Good in darker, more layered rooms with several lighting circuits to manage, a dining room with pendant, wall and accent lighting on separate switches, or a living room where a snug corner is lit differently to the rest of the space.

Before Buster + Punch existed as a company, Massimo Buster Minale was an architect who'd left practices including Foster + Partners to spend his evenings hand building motorbikes in a Shoreditch garage. The smoked, mottled finish on this plate has the same hand worked, never quite identical quality as those early bikes, where ageing and finishing metal by hand meant no two parts came out the same.

Not exactly. The smoked finish is applied for a mottled, aged look, so slight variation between the three toggles is expected and is part of the finish rather than a fault.
