The plate is solid steel, brushed rather than polished to a mirror, and it carries two knurled dimmer knobs side by side so a single wall can run two lighting circuits independently without two separate plates cluttering the space.

How It Works

Two independent rotary dimmer modules sit behind the plate, each push on/off and turn to dim, wired two way. Both run on standard UK 230 to 240V wiring at 50Hz and dim LED bulbs from 5 to 120W, or incandescent and halogen from 60 to 400W, with electronic soft start easing each circuit up rather than snapping it on.

Where It Works Best

Fit this where two circuits genuinely need separate control from one wall, a kitchen with ceiling spots on one loop and under cabinet lighting on another, for instance. A single circuit only needs the 1G plate; a third or fourth circuit is the signal to move up to the 3G or 4G versions rather than lining up extra 1G plates.

The steel finish on this switch owes something to where the brand started: not a design studio, but a lock up garage in Shoreditch where founder Massimo Buster Minale stripped and rebuilt motorbikes by hand.
