This smooth round 12cm shade (style B) has a mirrored chrome finish, so it bounces light around rather than simply passing it through. When switched off it sits quietly on the fitting, but once lit it becomes quietly reflective, catching and bouncing the bulb's glow back into the room. It fits all the G9 fittings in the Bradley collection.

Choosing Your Finish

Chrome suits contemporary interiors and pairs naturally with metal fittings in stainless, brushed or polished finishes. The reflective quality gives it a slightly more modern feel than clear or amber glass, and it works equally well on single pendants or as part of a larger multi arm design. If you prefer a different aesthetic, the Bradley range also includes clear, amber, and smoke finishes.

How It Works

The mirrored surface of the chrome glass redirects light rather than filtering it, so you get more light bouncing around the room compared to a shade that simply absorbs it. The G9 LED Capsule bulb (not supplied) sits behind the glass and its light bounces off the interior mirrored surface before reaching the room.

Where It Works Best

This shade works in dry indoor areas like living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms. The reflective quality can be particularly useful in smaller spaces where you want to amplify the apparent brightness. The IP20 rating means it's not suitable for bathrooms or high humidity areas.

Will the mirrored finish stay shiny?
Yes, because the mirroring is on the inside of the glass it's protected from dust and handling wear. It should look shiny for as long as you use it.

Does chrome finish give more light than clear?
It reflects more light, so yes, subjectively it feels brighter. A chrome shade will seem to amplify the bulb's output more than a clear shade would.

Can I use this with a dimmer?
Yes, as long as your dimmer is compatible with LED bulbs and you use a dimmable LED capsule. The shade doesn't restrict dimming.
