The Big Sky Version, For Rooms That Need More Light
Mantra's Blue Sky panel does something most recessed lights do not even try, it recreates the graduated colour of a real sky rather than just casting flat white light. This 59.5cm square version is the largest and brightest in the range, built for ceilings where a single small panel would leave the corners dim, giving an open plan kitchen or larger office the same daylight illusion at a scale that actually lights the whole room.
Matt White, Sized Up
Like the rest of the range, this size is offered in one matt white finish, there is no colour choice on this SKU. What does change across the Blue Sky range is size and output, this is the largest of the three, a 59.5cm square running a 60W engine. If your ceiling area is smaller, the same look is also available as a 29.5cm square with a 16W engine or a 59.5 by 29.5cm rectangle with a 35W engine.
How It Works
A 60W integrated LED engine runs behind the printed gradient diffuser, producing 4000 lumens at 4000K with a CRI above 80, enough to serve as the primary light source for a decent sized room rather than a supplementary fitting. It is not dimmable, so expect one fixed brightness once it is switched on. The panel recesses to 9cm and is secured with spring loaded corner clips, and it is Class II rated so no earth connection is required.
Where It Works Best
The 59.5cm square footprint and 4000 lumen output make this the version to reach for in an open plan kitchen diner, a larger home office, or a commercial space such as a reception or meeting room where you want genuine ambient brightness rather than a decorative accent. Where the smaller 16W and 35W versions work well as one or two fittings dotted through a room, this 60W panel can often do the job of an entire ceiling on its own.
Made By Mantra
Mantra has been trading out of Valencia since 2000 and has spent more than 25 years building a catalogue that leans on both an in house design team and named outside designers, among them Santiago Sevillano, whose sculptural ORA collection launched in 2012, and Hugo Tejada, whose organic Organica range from 2016 became one of the brand's stronger sellers. That mix of internal know how and outside creative input has taken Mantra well beyond Spain, into distribution across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and it continues to develop technical ranges like Blue Sky alongside its more decorative collections.

Questions People Ask
Is 4000 lumens enough to light a whole kitchen?
For many kitchens this single panel provides enough general light on its own, though the right amount depends on your room size and how much other lighting you have, such as under cabinet strips.
Can I fit more than one of these together?
Yes, several customers combine two or more panels across a larger ceiling, though each one needs its own connection to the lighting circuit.
Is this the same panel as the smaller Blue Sky sizes, just bigger?
Yes, the visual effect is the same gradient sky diffuser, this version is simply the largest and brightest of the three sizes Mantra makes.
