A Slice of Open Sky, Set Into Your Ceiling

Some rooms never get real daylight, so Mantra built a fitting that fakes it convincingly. The Blue Sky panel sits flush into the ceiling and glows with a soft gradient from pale white to sky blue, the same shift you would see looking straight up on a clear afternoon. In a windowless kitchen corner or an internal home office it does a genuinely good job of making the room feel less shut in.

One Finish, Built to Disappear

This 29.5cm square version comes in a single matt white frame, chosen so the fitting reads as part of the ceiling rather than a fixture bolted onto it. There is no colour or finish choice to make here since the whole point of Blue Sky is to blend in and let the printed sky graphic do the visual work. If you need more coverage than one small panel gives you, the same idea is also available as a 59.5cm square with a 60W LED engine and as a 59.5 by 29.5cm rectangle with a 35W engine, both sold separately.

How It Works

An integrated 16W LED engine sits behind an opal diffuser printed with the gradient sky pattern, producing 1280 lumens at 4000K with a CRI above 80, a clean daylight white rather than a warm glow. The panel is not dimmable, it runs at one fixed output. It recesses to a depth of 8cm and is held in place with spring loaded mounting clips at each corner, and the whole fitting is Class II so it does not require an earth connection.

Where It Works Best

At 29.5cm square this is the smallest panel in the Blue Sky range, sized for a single ceiling tile or a modest run above a desk, a kitchen breakfast bar, or a small office. It suits spaces where you want the daylight effect without lighting an entire ceiling grid. For open plan kitchens or larger commercial ceilings, the rectangular 35W or larger 60W square versions cover more floor area from fewer fittings.
