At 12cm wide the iron tones ranging from warm terracotta through to deeper rust and ochre have a concentrated quality on the wall that reads as genuinely architectural. The finish is applied by hand at Mullan Village and fixed through firing, with natural variation preserved from piece to piece. No two shades come out of the kiln looking identical.
