The matte white ground and fine hand painted stripes give it a considered quality that works equally well in contemporary minimal and more traditional interiors. At 12cm wide it is more architectural in character than conventional wall lights, the crisp striped ceramic reading as a purposeful object on the wall rather than a standard fitting. The stripes carry a natural variation from piece to piece that distinguishes this from anything mass produced.

How It Works

The open ceramic shade faces outward and slightly downward, directing the E27 bulb's warm light across the wall and into the room. The matte white surface reflects light cleanly at the ceramic edges, brightening the wall area around the fitting while the stripes add texture and visual interest. Compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs for full mood control.

Where It Works Best

The Matte White Striped Osier Wall Light suits bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and dining rooms where a wall fitting with clean craft character and a slender sculptural profile is wanted. The matte white striped finish is one of the most versatile in the range, pairing with virtually any wall colour, material combination and metal hardware finish.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The matte white striped finish reflects the bleached stone and whitewashed plaster of the historic buildings surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

Good to Know

Made to order in Mullan Village, Ireland.
