At 12cm wide it reads as a more architectural object on the wall than conventional wall lights, the blue earth colour adding natural warmth and depth to a wall at exactly the level where it can be properly appreciated up close. The colour is applied by hand at Mullan Village before firing, building up differently across every individual piece. In natural daylight the blue earth reads as cool and aquatic. With a warm E27 bulb in the evening the deeper blues and greens within the glaze come forward.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eHow It Works\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe open ceramic shade faces outward and slightly downward, directing the E27 bulb's warm light across the wall and into the room. The blue earth tones shift as the quality of light around them changes through the day.
