The print is a soft mix of blush, taupe and off white, so the whole lamp stays calm and light rather than making a statement. It is a good choice when you want the twisted column detail but need a shade that will not fight with the rest of the room.

A Resin Barley Twist Base And A Pleated Neutral Faux Silk Shade

The twisted stem is moulded in resin, which keeps the rope detail sharp from the round foot right up to the lamp holder, and the satin almond white paint has a gentle sheen rather than a gloss. The lamp holder at the top is in an antique brass finish, and the base comes fully assembled.

The shade is a handmade tapered pleat, gathered at the top ring, in a digitally printed faux silk fabric. The neutral ikat pattern is made up of soft, feathered streaks of blush and taupe on an off white ground. The top and bottom edges are taped in a matching fabric and the inside has a plain lining, so the print looks tidy from any side when the lamp is off and glows warm and even when it is on.

How It Works

The Twist is a plug in table lamp. It takes one E14 small screw fitting LED bulb, which is not included, and it is not dimmable. You switch it on and off at the inline switch on the 1.5 metre cream braided cable. It is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so it will work in a standard UK socket. The shade rests over the lamp holder with no fixings to worry about.

Where It Works Best

At 51.5cm tall with a 25cm shade, this is a neatly sized lamp for a bedside table, a windowsill or a narrow console in a hallway. The almond white stem and neutral ikat lamp shade sit easily with oak, pale walls and linen textures, and because the colours are so soft you can use a pair either side of a bed without the room feeling busy. A matching Twist floor lamp is available if you want the same look in a corner.

Made By Endon Lighting

Endon Lighting is a British brand with more than 80 years of design heritage behind it, and this lamp was created by its UK based design team. The barley twist column is a timeless decorative shape, and pairing it with a printed faux silk shade in a soft neutral palette is a good example of how Endon blends contemporary influences with classic forms to suit modern interiors.

Good to Know

Dimensions: 51.5cm height, 25cm shade diameter

Weight: 1.08kg

Materials: resin base, fabric shade

Finish: satin almond white paint with a neutral print faux silk shade

Bulb: 1 x E14 LED, not included

Not dimmable

Inline on off switch on a 1.5 metre cream braided cable

Plug: European two pin with a UK three pin adapter supplied

IP20, for dry indoor rooms only

Supplied as two boxes, base and shade, no tools needed

Care: dust the shade with a soft brush and wipe the painted base with a dry lint free cloth

Warranty: 2 year Endon Lighting manufacturer's warranty

Questions People Ask

Which bulb fits the Twist table lamp?
It takes one E14 small screw fitting LED bulb.
