endon-diamond-curve-zigzag-16cm-wall
Endon Diamond Curve Wall Light - Antique Brass & Zigzag 16cm Cotswold Green Fabric Shade

A Diamond Backplate With A Pop Of Cotswold Green

The Diamond Curve wall light pairs a stepped, diamond shaped cast backplate in antique brass with a gently sweeping arm and a 16cm pleated shade in a green and white zigzag print. It is a small, decorative brass wall light that reads as traditional from a distance and surprisingly fresh up close, mostly thanks to that shade.

Antique Brass Casting And A Hand Pleated Zigzag Shade

The wall back is hand crafted from solid cast steel and finished in a brass patina, so it has the soft, slightly mottled warmth of old brass rather than a bright lacquered shine. The curved arm ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder, which sits just inside the shade.

The shade itself is handmade with gathered pleats, tapered in shape, and cut from digitally printed faux silk in a Cotswold green zigzag pattern. The edges are taped and the inside is plain lined, so when the light is on the colour glows softly through the pleats and when it is off the print stays crisp against the wall.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied, and it is dimmable when used with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade is supplied separately in its own box and simply sits over the lamp holder once the fitting is on the wall.

We recommend that this fitting is installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

At 21cm high, 16cm wide and 25.5cm deep from the wall, it is an accent light rather than a main room light. It is a lovely bedside wall light, works well in pairs either side of a fireplace or chimney breast, and brings colour to a hallway or landing. The green shade sits particularly well against cream, off white and soft pink walls, and alongside natural wood and rattan.

Made By Endon Lighting

The Diamond Curve comes from Endon Lighting, a British decorative lighting brand whose design heritage stretches back more than 80 years. Endon's UK based design team has a habit of taking a classic form, here a cast brass wall bracket, and giving it a current twist, in this case a patterned fabric shade chosen to suit modern interiors as comfortably as period ones.

Good to Know

Dimensions: 21cm height, 16cm width, 25.5cm projection from the wall

Weight: 0.75kg

Materials: cast steel backplate and steel arm, fabric shade

Finish: antique brass patina with a Cotswold green zigzag faux silk shade

Bulb: 1 x B22 LED, 7W maximum, not included

Dimmable with a dimmable LED bulb and compatible dimmer switch

Electrical rating: Class I, IP20, for dry indoor rooms only

Supplied as two boxes, the wall fitting and the shade, with simple self assembly

Care: dust the shade with a soft brush or lint roller and wipe the brass with a dry cloth

Warranty: 2 year Endon Lighting manufacturer's warranty

We recommend all lighting is installed by a qualified electrician

Questions People Ask

Do I need an electrician to fit the Diamond Curve wall light?
Yes, this is a hardwired wall fitting and should always be installed by a qualified electrician.

Is the Diamond Curve wall light dimmable?
Yes, it is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable B22 LED bulb and used with a compatible dimmer switch.
