endon-anvil-angle-leaf-16cm-wall
Endon Anvil Angle Wall Light - Antique Brass & Leaf 16cm Herb Garden Green Fabric Shade

A Quatrefoil Backplate And A Leafy Green Shade

The Anvil Angle wall light is a compact antique brass wall light with a scalloped, four lobed backplate, a straight arm that turns a neat right angle, and a 16cm pleated shade printed with a scattered leaf motif in herb garden green on an off white ground. It has the look of a fitting you might find in an old farmhouse, but it is a current design, cleanly made and easy to live with.

Antique Brass Casting With A Herb Garden Green Leaf Shade

The wall back is hand crafted from solid cast steel with a brass patina finish, so each one carries soft tonal variation and a gently aged surface rather than a uniform polish. The steel arm is finished to match and ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder, which is visible beneath the shade and adds to the period feel.

The Leaf shade is handmade with gathered pleats and a tapered profile. The fabric is a digitally printed faux linen with a textured weave, the edges are taped in the same print and the inside is plain lined. Lit, the pleats throw a warm striped glow and the leaves show as soft silhouettes. Unlit, the green and off white print stays crisp and fresh.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting. It is rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, not supplied, and it is dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting arrives as two boxes, the brass wall back and arm in one and the shade in the other. The shade sits over the lamp holder once the fitting is on the wall, so there is only a little self assembly.

We recommend that this fitting is installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Measuring 24cm high and 16cm wide with a 19.5cm projection from the wall, this is a soft accent light rather than a main light source. It makes a good bedside wall light, suits a pair either side of a mirror or window in a sitting room, and adds colour to a hallway, landing or dining room. The green leaf shade sits naturally against cream, sage and warm white walls, and pairs well with painted wood, oak and panelling.

Made By Endon Lighting

Endon Lighting is a British brand with a design heritage of more than 80 years. Its UK based design team combines contemporary influences with timeless decorative styles, and the Anvil Angle is a neat example: a cast brass wall bracket of the old school, dressed with a green leaf print shade that feels at home in modern interiors as much as in a country cottage.

Good to Know

Dimensions: 24cm height, 16cm width, 19.5cm projection from the wall

Weight: 0.886kg

Materials: cast steel wall back, steel arm, fabric shade

Finish: antique brass patina with a herb garden green leaf print faux linen shade

Bulb: 1 x B22 LED, 7W maximum, not included

Dimmable with a dimmable LED bulb and compatible dimmer switch

Electrical rating: Class I, IP20, for dry indoor rooms only

Supplied as two boxes, the wall fitting and the shade, with simple self assembly

Care: brush the shade gently with a soft brush and wipe the brass with a dry, lint free cloth

Warranty: 2 year Endon Lighting manufacturer's warranty

We recommend all lighting is installed by a qualified electrician

Questions People Ask

Do I need an electrician to fit the Anvil Angle wall light?
Yes, this is a hardwired wall fitting and should always be installed by a qualified electrician.

Is the Anvil Angle wall light dimmable?
Yes, it is dimmable when used with a dimmable B22 LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch.
