The Light Symphony Base Station is an optional wireless addition, which expands the features of a Light Symphony system.
Its clock and 6 intelligent timers track dusk and dawn times throughout the year to provide automatic control.
The built-in light show randomly sequences the lighting and coordinates colour changing.
This WiFi version allows control from an Apple iPhone or iTouch® using the iSymphony application (available free from the iTunes web store). It also includes a serial port for interfacing to third-party control systems, such as Lutrons GrafikEye®.
It contains a radio signal repeater, which echoes wireless commands received from any handset to double its 1000 meter line-of-site range and guarantee reliability.
How to UseThe base-stations 6 timers and light-show controller transmit wireless commands to the outdoor Lighting Control Modules.
It also echos wireless commands received from any of Light Symphonys 1000 meter controllers. This doubles the effective range giving significantly improved reliability.
Allows control from an Apple iPhone or iTouch® using the free iSymphony application, providing a sleek alternative to the standard remote control.

Set-UpThere should be no set-up required to get the iPhone working assuming your iPhone is already connected to your home WIFI.
When setting-up the base station, your network router must be 'showing' the wireless network name to allow the base station to recognise it.
The WiFi base-station must be linked to your WiFi network (like a laptop), which is mentioned in the instructions, it's as simple as that!
These are all the common WiFi standards;
802.11a
802.11b
802.11g
802.11n
The Wifi Base Station does not support the very latest 'n' standard (which operates at a different frequency to all the others).
All routers are backwardly compatible therefore to make it work you have to change your router to use 802.11b/g.
Or, you must add a WiFi access point to your router which is configured to use 802.11b/g.
